  LEROUX, London c1800

A fine Regency trunk dial wall clock in a mahogany case.  The 14 inch brass dial with silvered finish is engraved with Roman numerals and the maker's signature.  The blued steel pointers are finely pierced at the tips.

The single fusee timepiece movement is of 8-day duration.  There is an anchor escapement and a brass bob pendulum.

The mahogany case has a finely turned moulding around the dial and a brass concave bezel.  The flamed mahogany trunk has a chisel-back base.

John Leroux is recorded in Baillie as 'an eminent maker' who worked in Charing Cross from 1781 through to 1808.
