Description:

A rare and exceptionally fine French carriage timepiece with day of the month and seconds subsidiary dials. The eight-day duration movement has a large spring barrel and duplex escapement all within a brass empire style case which retains the original gilding.

The silvered brass dial in the style of Breguet has a subsidiary seconds dial at 12 o’clock and day of the month dial at 6 o’clock above the winding arbor.

There are two small ellipses to the centre of the dial, signed ‘Fatton Élève’ (to the left) and ‘de Breguet No. 82’ (to the right). The platform to the escapement is also fully signed.
