Description:

A small rouge marble mantel timepiece with ormolu mounts to the base, gilt recumbent lions flanking the drum housing and surmounted by a gilt eagle with wings spread.

The timepiece movement is of eight-day duration and is signed and numbered to the back plate. The dial is particularly fine and appears to be made of solid silver with a polished area for the chapter ring and an inner engine turned centre with a plaque signed by the maker. The delicate blued steel pointers with finely pierced hearts.
