Description:

A fine and small George III bracket clock in an ebonised and brass bound three pad case which stands on moulded bracket feet and is surmounted by a brass carrying handle. 

The break arch brass dial is mounted with mask head spandrels and silvered chapter ring.  There are two subsidiary dials in the arch for strike/silent and rise and fall regulation with an inset plaque above signed by the maker. 

The two train fusée movement has a verge escapement and hour strike sounded on a bell.  The backplate is finely engraved in a rococo style. 

John Dwerrihouse was a highly respected maker working in Charles Street during the last quarter of the 18th century.
